• Route: Cooper Rd Trail to Campsite 1 (.9),  Little Bottoms Trail to Campsite 17 (1.6), Campsite 17  to Hatcher Mtn Tr then Campsite 16 at Rabbit Creek (2.5), Campsite 16 to Abrams Creek Ranger Station (2.7).
  
• Total Mileage: 7.7 miles
• Notes: Maryville College Orientation hike. Large Group.

The Great Flood

 

• Route: Day 1: Cooper Rd Trail to Wet Bottoms Tr (1 mile) to Abrams Falls Trail (4.2) to Little Bottoms Trail (2.3) to Rabbit Creek Trail (1.0) to Campsite 15 (3.5); Day 2: Campsite 15 to Abrams Falls Trailhead (4.25) and back to Campsite 15 (4.25); Day 3: Campsite 15 to Abrams Creek Ranger Station (3.5).
• Total Mileage: 23 miles
• Notes: Rained in. Abrams Falls parking lot was about 200 ft of water. Creek by Campsite 15 was impassable. When we arrived at the Abram's Creek Ranger Station we had to be brought out by inflatable kayak. Our bear bag was attacked by mini-bears during night 2 at campsite 15. Brandon's mother forbade him from hiking with me ever again :) .

Eagle Creek to Fontana Loop

 

• Route: Day 1: Eagle Creek Trail to Campsite 90 (5.2). Day 2: Campsite 90 to Lost Cove Trail to AT (2.7), AT to Fontanta (3.7).
  
• Total Mileage: 11.6 miles
  
• Notes: Car Remains on Eagle Creek Trail between Fontana and Campsite 90.

• Route: Day 1: Cades Cove Picnic Area to Anthony Creek Trail to Bote Mtn Trail (3.5), Bote Mtn Trail to AT at Spence Field (1.7) to Eagle Creek Trail to Campsite 90 (8.7); Day 2: Lost Cove Trail to AT (2.7), AT to Mollies Ridge Shelter (6.2); Day 3: Mollies Ridge to Russell Field Trail (2.5), Russell Field Trail to Anthony Creek Trail (3.5), Anthony Creek Trail to Cades Cove Campground Store (1.6).
  Total Mileage: 30.4 miles
• Notes: 1st backpacking trip with Sam. Campsite 90 is one of the best sites around. On the lake, large, flat.
