Porter's Creek Trail

 

• Route: Porter's Creek Trail to Fern Branch Falls (1.8 one way)
  
• Total Mileage: 3.6 miles
• Time Table: on the trail at 9:45am, Fern Branch Falls at 11am, back to the car at noon.
  
• Wildlife: Deer
  
• Highlights: Creekside walk, wide trail for 1st mile, Ownby cemetery, Messer barn, Smoky Mtn Hiking Club Cabin (bypassed), car remains, stone walls/homesites

• Route: Little River from Coulter's Bridge to the bridge at Franklin Pavillion.
• Highlights: Bailey going wading up to her chest and NOT freaking out; collision with a tree and the bank while trying to take the "easy" route; Bailey's first trip since getting her very own canoe paddle for Christmas.
  
• Time on the water: 2 hours

• Trails: Crib Gap Trail to Anthony Creek Trail to Russell Field Trail to AT to Spence Field (on Eagle Creek Trail) to Bote Mtn Trail to Lead Cove Trail to Crib Gap Trail (loop)
• Total Mileage: 14.5
• Highlights: Russell and Spence Fields, vistas, wildflowers, sunrise, butterflies eating horse poo
